A Houston Blogger has been charged for defaming the late Anna Nicole Smith on a popular blog, thus casting doubts on the freedom of speech the world has witnessed since the advent of the internet on the world communication scene since the early 1990s. Apparently most bloggers are taken by surprise as they never regard themselves as publishers. According to the President of Media Bloggers Association of the USA,legal suits against Bloggers have been doubling every year resulting into settlements worth $15 million so far.
